Role of a DJ

The DJ’s role might seem obvious to keep the music flowing and set the vibe. But what I didn’t realize until working behind the scenes with our administrative team is that the DJ also plays a major part in guiding the event itself. The DJ will maintain the timeline by making announcements so guests know what to expect next. This is to ensure that no guest or vendor feels lost or unsure about the schedule. 

Another major part of a DJ is engaging with the crowd. This is essential, because the DJ isn’t just playing music, they’re setting the energy of the room, connecting with guests, and getting everyone involved. When all is said and done, the DJ is the heartbeat of the celebration, keeping everything, and everyone perfectly in sync.
